Ciao! I’m Ruihan Bai.

I’m a Chinese illustrator and visual artist currently based in Italy.

My work moves between illustration and painting, combining child-like imagery, symbolic narratives, and fragmented storytelling. Through quiet but emotionally tense compositions, I explore memory, folklore, intimacy, and psychological distance.

Influenced by printed matter, narrative art, and the visual language of children’s drawings, I create images that appear gentle at first glance while carrying ambiguity and unease underneath.
